McKay Wenger visits FALS Victory Lane on CIT Trucks Night
Friday night saw McKay Wenger return with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals for the 12th round of the Hell Tour at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.).
Coming off a hot streak at the Illinois oval, Wenger backed up a fifth-place heat outing with a third-to-first run in his B-Main. Pinned on the eighth row for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, McKay climbed four positions in the 50-lapper to finish 13th.
For the CIT Truck Night on Saturday at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), Mckay raced into the FALS Cup A-Main with a runner-up heat finish. Taking the green in fourth, Wenger soared to a late victory in the 30-lap affair to capture his fourth win of the season and the $2,500 winner’s payday. He finished ahead of Kyle Hammer, Jeffrey Ledford, Ryan Unzicker, and Kevin Weaver.
