Tyler Erb

Terbo tops DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Red Hill Raceway

While Victory Lane narrowly avoided his presence for most of last week’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals action, Tyler Erb was able to finally add a ‘W’ on Sunday night at Red Hill Raceway.

Erb collected $5,000 at the Illinois oval as his 2024-win tally increased to 10 aboard his Bulk Material Lift / Anthony’s Pizza No. 1 Best Performance Motorsports / Langenfelder Mechanical Contractors / First Class Septic / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

“(We) hadn’t gotten a win this week, been really fast, just had to keep working on this thing and get it good,” Erb noted during Sunday night’s Winner’s Circle interview at Red Hill Raceway. “After the heat race, I knew my car felt like it has the last two weeks, so just had to bide our time and work that top (line). It came in and that’s probably the widest (surface) I’ve ever raced here, so it was a lot of fun. Feger and me, we had a hard race there through traffic, but it feels good to get the win, especially here.”

In his third week on tour with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, Tyler Erb joined 28 Late Models at Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Mo.) on Monday piloting his Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 Late Model.

Rolling to a consistent podium finish in the opener, Tyler started and finished the 30-lapper in the third. He joined Ashton Winger and Dillon McCowan on the podium.

For the 44th annual Herald & Review 100 on Thursday at Macon Speedway (Macon, Ill.), Erb rallied to a fifth-place finish in the chaotic 100-lap feature after early contact while leading.

On Friday at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.), Tyler squeezed into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat race. Nearly driving his way into the podium from the sixth row, Erb gained seven positions to finish fourth.

Following a seventh-to-third run in Saturday’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals event at Highland Speedway (Highland, Ill.), Erb drove into victory lane on Sunday at Red Hill Raceway (Sumner, Ill.). He outran Saturday’s winner Jason Feger to secure the $5,000 weekend finale and his 10th win of the 2024 season.

Erb finished three points behind Feger for the Week 3 points title.
