Ferguson brings home pair of Top-10 finishes at Lernerville; 17th in Firecracker finale
Making the long haul to The Keystone State, Carson Ferguson and Paylor Motorsports joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Thursday afternoon at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) for the Firecracker 100.
With 53 Late Models checked in for night one, Ferguson was victorious in his heat race which put him starting third in the second $5,000-to-win preliminary feature. With only 25 laps to work with, Carson finished just off the Top-5 in sixth.
Starting further back in the field on Friday, Carson moved forward six spots in the second prelim feature to land inside the Top-10 in ninth.
On Saturday, Ferguson moved from third-to-second in his heat which landed him a spot in the 100-lap main event. With a $50,000 payday on the line, Carson faded throughout the long feature to finish 17th.
