Tyler Stevens tackles busy weekend of racing with Keith Hammett Motorsports
Piloting the Keith Hammett Motorsports No. 29S, Tyler Stevens kicked off his busy weekend with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association at Callaway Raceway (Fulton, Mo.) on Friday evening.
Snagging the final A-Main transfer spot in his heat race, Stevens moved forward three positions in the $5,000-to-win main event to finish 12th.
With Saturday's MLRA show at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway rained out, Tyler switched directions to Highland (Ill.) Speedway for a weekly event.
Drawing 14 Super Late Models, Stevens started ninth in the 25-lap feature and brought back a Top-5 finish in fifth.
Wrapping up his extended weekend at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway on Monday, Stevens qualified seventh-fastest out of a stout 18-car field. Rolling off 11th with $15,000 on the line, Tyler was an early retiree on lap 17.
