Matt Tifft steers to fourth-place finish at Hummingbird Speedway
Debuting in a new GUNK-sponsored No. 57 Late Model, Matt Tifft returned to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) on Friday to kick off a pair of events in The Keystone State.
Joining a field of 20 Late Models on Friday, Matt’s third-place finish in his heat race positioned him on the third row for the opener. After fading outside the top-10 early, Tifft climbed six spots late in the 25-lapper to claim a ninth-place finish.
A stop a Hummingbird Speedway (Reynoldsville, Pa.) on Saturday resulted in a top-five finish for Tifft in the main event. The Cleveland, Ohio native led laps early before ultimately crossing the line in fourth in the 25-lap affair. He trailed Kenny Schaffer, Tyler Wyant, and Tony Musolino across the line with Todd English coming in fifth.
