Garrett Smith runner-up in Finn Watson Memorial at Ponderosa Speedway

Garrett Smith made a surprise start with the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals on Friday afternoon at Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) for the $10,000-to-win Finn Watson Memorial.

With 14 Late Models in attendance, Smith started the 50-lap feature from the outside pole and ran runner-up to Mike Marlar. Garrett picked up his fourth podium finish on the year.
