Robinson claims third win of 2024 at Georgetown Speedway
Taking advantage of the leader's late flat-tire, Ross Robinson parked his Commonwealth Equipment / Stockley Materials No. 7 DutchStar Motorsports / The Frozen Farmer / Wesley Collins Builders / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Clements Race Engine Super Late Model in victory lane on Friday evening at Georgetown Speedway.
It wasn't the ideal way to win for the hometown pilot, but Robinson put himself in contention for the victory late after pacesetter Rick Eckert suffered a flat.
“Rick had the car to beat tonight,” Robinson stated. “I was going to run second and I hate that for him, but he’s going to win one soon. Big thanks to all my sponsors and supporters who keep me on the road.”
Ross Robinson entered a single event over the weekend with a short trip to Georgetown Speedway (Georgetown, Del.) on Friday to compete against his wife in the weekly racing event aboard his DutchStar Motorsports No. 7 Rocket Chassis Late Model.
After going fourth-to-second in his heat race, Robinson inherited the lead late in the feature and ran away with his third win of the season. He banked the $3,000 top prize ahead of Donald Lingo Jr., Trevor Collins, Rick Eckert and his wife Amanda.
