Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Stop at Mudlick Valley Raceway Halted Due to Wet Conditions
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (May 25, 2024)- Officials with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels and officials with Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, KY have agreed to make the decision to postpone the Story Realty 40 scheduled for Sunday May 26. A make-up for the event is being looked and will be posted as soon as it becomes available. This evening’s event at Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, OH is still on as scheduled.
Mudlick Valley Raceway has received a lot of rain during the week and then received even moreon Friday evening and has a local forecast of more precipitation for Saturday and that, along with more rain and possible severe weather forecasted for Sunday, series and track officials felt it would be in the best interest of the race teams and race fans to postpone the event.
The 35th Annual Barney Oldfield Race is still set to take place Saturday May 25 at Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, OH, with the event paying $5,000 to win and $500 to start. Rusty Schlenk of McClure, OH is the defending winner of the event.
