Feger scores repeat MARS victory at FALS

Competing in the Super Late Model portion of the Illinois Dirt Shootout, Jason Feger made the short trip to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Saturday afternoon for the MARS Late Model Championship Series sanctioned event.

Aboard his Titan Industries No. 25 Late Model, Feger topped the 31-car field in time trials before picking up a flag-to-flag victory in his heat race. Vaulting into the lead late in the 40-lap feature, Jason led the final 15 circuits to secure his second-straight MARS victory and his sixth overall of the season. He earned a $5,000 payday ahead of Allen Weisser, Ryan Unzicker, McKay Wenger, and Bob Gardner.

Sunday's $5,000-to-win event at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) was cancelled due to rain.

Jason sits 14 markers behind Weisser for the lead in the MARS point standings.

Making a stop at Macon (Ill.) Speedway on Tuesday afternoon for the $20,000-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America opener, Feger topped the 27-car field in qualifying and led flag-to-flag in his heat race. Racing in the runner-up spot early, Feger faded outside the Top-5, but rallied in the closing stages of the 50-lap feature to finish runner-up to Ricky Thornton Jr.
