Brian Shirley and the Bob Cullen Racing team follows World of Outlaws to Ohio and Pennsylvania
Kicking off a busy weekend with the World of Outlaw Case Late Model Series on Thursday, Brian Shirley unloaded the Bob Cullen Racing machine at Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio) for the first event of the weekend.
With 40 Late Models checked in, Shirley struggled in qualifying and his heat race before making up five spots to finish seventh in his last chance showdown. Still needing a provisional for the $10,000-to-win main event, Brian started 23rd and finished 21st.
Friday's $15,000-to-win Billy Winn Classic at Bedford (Pa.) Speedway was rained out.
With the field elevated to 54 Late Models at Marion Center (Pa.) Speedway on Saturday, Shirley once again started 23rd in the A-Main but pulled off after 12 laps and recorded a 26th-place finish.
Finishing the weekend at Path Valley Speedway Park (Spring Run, Pa.) on Sunday, Brian nabbed the final transfer spot in his heat and started the 40-lap feature from 15th and came home 20th.
Shirley is currently 12th in the World of Outlaws point standings.
