Drake Troutman
Drake Troutman sits on pole of Connor Bobik Memorial at Marion Center with World of Outlaws
With the World of Outlaw Case Late Model Series close to home, Drake Troutman joined the series on Thursday night at Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio) for the first event of the weekend.
Stopping the clock third-fastest in his qualifying group, Troutman finished third in his heat race and started the 40-lap feature from 10th before losing one spot to finish 11th.
Friday's $15,000-to-win Billy Winn Classic at Bedford (Pa.) Speedway was rained out.
With a weekend-high car count of 54 Late Models at Marion Center (Pa.) Speedway on Saturday, Troutman laid down an excellent lap in qualifying and was quicktime on the evening. Winning his heat race and starting fifth in the $15,000-to-win main event, Drake quickly started the fade and pulled off early on lap 35.
Finishing off the extended weekend on Sunday night, Troutman was unable to find much speed at Path Valley Speedway Park (Spring Run, Pa.) and did not transfer to the main event with a 10th-place run in his last chance showdown.
