Cade Dillard
Dillard competes in four-day swing with World of Outlaws; podium outing at Raceway 7
Kicking off a busy weekend with the World of Outlaw Case Late Model Series on Thursday, Cade Dillard checked into Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio) for the first event of a four-race swing through Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Topping the 40-car field in qualifying, Dillard led flag-to-flag in his heat race and pulled the pole position in the redraw. In the $10,000-to-win main event, Cade slipped back on the initial start but rallied to land on the podium in third. He trailed Chris Madden and Kyle Bronson while Nick Hoffman and Dustin Sorensen completed the Top-5.
Friday's $15,000-to-win Billy Winn Classic at Bedford (Pa.) Speedway was rained out.
Dodging rain showers at Marion Center (Pa.) Speedway on Saturday, Dillard qualified second-fastest in his group before taking the checkered flag in his heat race. Redrawing the No. 1 for the second night in a row, Cade started the $15,000-to-win show from the front-row before slipping back to fifth after 50-laps. He finished behind Chris Madden, Kyle Bronson, Nick Hoffman, and Michael Norris.
Capping off the week on Sunday night at Path Valley Speedway Park (Spring Run, Pa.), Dillard started the $10,000-to-win feature from 13th and made up two spots to finish just outside the Top-10 in 11th.
Dillard is currently third in the World of Outlaws point standings.
