Herrington attends Gene Maine Memorial at Needmore; finds victory lane in Street Stock division

Keeping his No. 14 Super Late Model in the shop, Wil Herrington hopped aboard the David Poole No. 00 604 Late Model for the $3,201-to-win Gene Maine Memorial at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.).

Qualifying ninth-fastest out of 15 Late Models, Herrington completed 11 laps before pulling in and recording an eighth-place finish.

Herrington also made a surprise start behind the wheel of the Leon Childs-owned No. 7 Street Stock. Earning the pole position for the 20-lap main event, Herrington led flag-to-flag to score the $1,201 payday.
