Sanders competes in CCSDS Bad Boy 98 at Batesville, wins at Monett

Rodney Sanders returned to the seat of Keith Hammett’s No. 29 Super Late Model on Friday and Saturday to participate in the Bad Boy 98 with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) at Batesville Motor Speedway.

Friday’s preliminary action brought 41 CCSDS competitors to the 3/8-mile oval in Locust Grove, Arkansas, where a $5,000 first-place prize was on the line. Sanders claimed seventh in his heat race and finished fourth in his B-Main, bringing his night to a close before the 38-lap feature.

On Saturday, Sanders was part of a 39-car field at Batesville for the $12,000-to-win event finale. After a fifth-place showing in his heat, Sanders won his consolation race from the pole and started 17th in the main event. He climbed five spots during the 68-lap race to record a 12th-place result.

Sanders closed out his weekend in USRA Modified competition at Missouri’s Monett Motor Speedway on Sunday. He drove to his fourth feature victory of the year on the 3/8-mile oval.
