Ferguson caught up in vicious pileup at Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park with HTFSDS
With the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series headed for his home state, Chris Ferguson checked into Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park (Elkin, N.C.) on Friday afternoon for the $10,000-to-win show.
With 37 Super Late Models on hand, Chris qualified sixth-fastest in his group before securing his spot in the A-Main through his heat race. In the 50-lap main event, Ferguson was racing to the Top-10 when a car spun in front of him and he had nowhere to go. Ferguson's race car sustained major damage in the accident and was done for the evening.
Saturday's $20,000-to-win Buddy Crook Memorial at Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway was cancelled due to overnight rain showers.
Ferguson is currently 2nd in the HTFSDS point standings.
