Herrington Charges from 25th-to-3rd at Ultimate

After seeing the weekend's scheduled Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series event at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway falling victim to Mother Nature, the team decided to trek north to Ultimate Motorsports Park (Elkin, N.C.) for the $10,000-to-win Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series event.

Thirty-eight Super Late Models registered for battle at the newly-renovated oval. After seeing a rain delay after qualifying, action finally commenced. While Wil was unable to earn a transfer spot to the feature via his heat race and last chance qualifier, he was able to start the main event with a series' provisional.

Starting 25th on the grid, Herrington rocketed through the field to record a third-place finish behind Sam Seawright and Brandon Overton.

With the performance, Wil moved up to ninth in the latest series standings.
