Robards snares top-10 finish at Doe Run, LaRose wins again
A busy weekend for the Spartan Transportation-backed RS12 Motorsports team began on Friday evening at Doe Run Raceway in Doe Run, Missouri.
Harrison Robards turned in a solid effort in the 16-car-strong Winged Outlaw Micros class as he picked up five spots to finish second in his heat race. After starting the 20-lap A-Main from the pole, “Dirty Harry” ultimately came home seventh on the 1/6-mile track.
Meanwhile, Zander LaRose continued his dominance in the LO206 Restricted Box Stock ranks. “Z-Man” drove from eighth to take the win in his heat race, putting him on the pole to start the 10-lap main event. He went on to grab his fifth consecutive checkered flag at the track.
Also at Doe Run, RS12 driver Allen Cope finished third in the Winged Outlaw Micros A-Main while teammate Dalton Clary drove to a sixth-place result in the Junior Sprints feature.
On Saturday, Cope and Clary traveled to Kentucky and Paducah International Raceway for the Small Track Shootout. Cope finished second in the Outlaw Winged Micros class and seventh in the Outlaw Non-Winged Micros program. Clary meanwhile took home fifth in the Junior Sprints division.
