Tyler Bruening Resumes '24 Season with Illini 100
Tyler Bruening resumed the 2024 season over the weekend by venturing to Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway for the Illini 100.
The World of Outlaws (WoO) CASE Late Model Series doubleheader opened on Friday with 45 entries in the pit area. Tyler missed the transfer to the feature by one spot from his heat race, but recorded a third-place finish in his b-main to lock into the 21st-starting spot for the 40-lap feature.
Unable to make up much ground in the $10,000-to-win event, Bruening crossed the finish line in the 20th position.
Action continued on Saturday evening with the winner's check increased to $20,000. Tyler enjoyed a much-better performance. For the second-straight night he advanced into the finale via a third-place finish in his b-main. He went on to pass 11 competitors in the 60-lap affair to record an 11th-place finish.
With the weekend completed, Tyler sits fifth in the latest WoO points.
