Jensen Ford races in to pair of Spring Thaw features at Volunteer Speedway

Continuing to gain notes for his new Bruce Kane Racing No. 15 machine, Jensen Ford traveled to his home track of Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon for the XR Super Series-sanctioned Spring Thaw.

Finishing one spot out of transfer spot in his heat race, Jensen found himself in a B-Main where he would finish runner-up and earn the 19th-starting spot in the 60-lap feature. With $30,000 on the line, Ford recorded a 16th-place outing.

For Sunday's $12,000-to-win rescheduled event, Ford started the main event from the fifth-row and wound up 13th when the checkered flag flew.
