Early exit in Doug Walls Memorial at Ultimate Motorsports Park

Nick Hoffman returned to the driver’s seat of the Tye Twarog Racing No. 9 Late Model over the weekend for Friday’s inaugural Doug Walls Memorial at Ultimate Motorsports Park (Elkin, N.C.).

After getting behind the eight-ball in Mid-East Super Late Models time trials, Hoffman backed up a sixth-place outing in his heat with a fourth-to-first run in his B-Main. Chasing the $10,000 top prize in the feature, Nick was an early retiree from the 50-lap affair on lap 20.
