Chris Ferguson scores top-10 in Lil' Bill Corum Memorial at Tazewell

Making a start in his home state of North Carolina, Chris Ferguson visited Ultimate Motorsports Park (Elkin, N.C.) on Friday night to power his Patriot Meat Processing No. 22 Late Model for the inaugural Doug Walls Memorial.

After getting behind the eight ball in Mid-East Super Late Model qualifying, Ferguson gained ground in his heat race but made the decision to scratch from his B-Main.

In a field of 28 Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals entries on Saturday at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) for the fourth annual Lil' Bill Corum Memorial, Chris’ third-place showing in his heat race positioned him on the fifth row for the $21,000-to-win main event. Muscling forward one spot in the 75-lap affair, the Mount Holly, N.C., native rolled to an eighth-place finish.
