Port Royal Speedway Determined to Host Opening Points Race After Battling Weather

Port Royal, PA, March 25th, 2024 - The anticipation for the start of the racing season at Port Royal Speedway has been palpable, yet nature has had other plans. Despite two consecutive rainouts for the regular season opener, the team at Port Royal Speedway is steadfast in their commitment to bring the excitement of 410, super late model, and limited late model racing to fans.

Due to inclement weather, the regular season opening race at Port Royal Speedway has been postponed not once, but twice this season. However, the spirits remain high among organizers, drivers, and enthusiasts alike as they prepare to make the third attempt at kicking off the season with a bang. The regular season opener is being presented by Packer's Concessions, who continues to be a large supporter in the central Pennsylvania racing scene.

Along with the excitement of 410 sprint cars, super late models, and limited late models at The Speed Palace, fans can prepare to celebrate the upcoming Easter holiday with Ms. Motorsports - Megan Williams. Williams is bringing Easter baskets for kids and adults alike to help celebrate the upcoming holiday season. Williams will be able to be found around the main concourse with raffle tickets for the baskets, as well as other merchandise for fans to purchase at the speedway.

With the weather forecast looking promising for the upcoming weekend, all eyes are once again on Port Royal Speedway as they gear up for the third attempt at their opening point series race. From the roar of engines to the cheers of the crowd, anticipation is building for what promises to be an electrifying event.

Pit gates will open at 1PM and general admission gates at 2 on March 30th with hot laps getting underway at 3PM and racing to start at 4PM.

General admission tickets will be $20, pit passes are $35, students (age 13-18) are $10, and kids 12 and under are free admission.
