Jackson Jr. earns pair of CCSDS runner-up finishes at Arrowhead and Springfield

Tony Jackson Jr. took advantage of a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series off weekend on Friday and Saturday to participate in a pair of $5,000-to-win shows with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). He came away with second-place finishes in both Oklahoma and Missouri.

On Friday, 40 CCSDS Super Late Model drivers descended on the 1/3-mile Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Oklahoma, for the Triple Threat. Jackson won his heat race, putting him in the second starting spot for the 35-lap A-Main. He led the first 20 circuits before relinquishing the lead to Logan Martin. Jackson ultimately settled for second, trailing Martin by 2.056 seconds at the checkered flag. Third place went to Morgan Bagley, with Kyle Beard and BJ Robinson finishing fourth and fifth, respectively.

The next night it was off to Missouri and the quarter-mile Springfield Raceway where 35 CCSDS racers were on hand for March Madness. Jackson Jr. claimed second in his heat and rolled off fifth in the 40-lap feature. He worked his way up to second with 10 to go and claimed another runner-up result, crossing the start-finiish line 3.382 seconds behind winner Clay Stuckey. Sawyer Crigler, Beard and Jace Parmley completed the top five.
