LaRose takes pair of top-5 finishes in Doe Run Indoor finale

Zander LaRose of RS12 Motorsports took to the Doe Run Raceway Indoor Track in Palmyra, Missouri, on Friday and Saturday for the final weekend of the facility’s four-event winter series.

Competing in LO206 Restricted Box Stock, LaRose qualified his Spartan Transportation No. 1Z kart fifth on Friday. He then picked up three spots in the night's 15-lap A-Main to record a runner-up finish. He trailed winner Gavin O’Brien by 0.814 seconds at the checkered flag, while Jacob Deml, Jack Maurer and Parker Robb completed the top five.

On Saturday, LaRose drove to a second-place result in his heat race and both started and finished third in the 15-lap feature. “Z-Man” followed O’Brien and Deml across the start-finish line. Willard Ballard claimed the fourth spot and Cash Stanberry came home fifth.

LaRose finished fourth overall in the winter series.
