Clayton scores pair of fourth-place finishes in Early Thaw at Central Arizona Speedway

Staying out West rather than heading to Florida, Clayton Stuckey unloaded his Black Diamond Racing No. 15 at Central Arizona Raceway (Casa Grande, Ariz.) on Thursday afternoon for the first of six race nights at the track over the next two weeks.

With 35 Late Models stuffed in the pit area for the Ernie Mincy Early Thaw, Stuckey finished second in his heat race which earned him a eighth-place starting spot where he would eventually finish seventh in the feature.

For another $2,500-to-win show on Friday, Clayton fell back in his heat race which pushed him a B-Main. Following a third-place finish, Stuckey started 21st in the A-Main and powered through the field to land inside the Top-5 in fifth.

Starting off 16th in the first weekend's finale, Stuckey once again tore through the field in the 35-lap main event to record his second fourth-place finish. He trailed Tyler Peterson, Billy Moyer Sr., and Ricky Weiss while Michael Leach completed the Top-5.
