Iverson opens 2024 season at Vado Speedway Park for Wild West Shootout
Calvin made the trek to the Wild West Shootout at the Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM to kick off his 2024 racing season this weekend.
Saturday night, we were able to race forward from 9th to 6th in our heat race before starting and finishing 7th in the night's b-main.
Sunday, we raced from 6th up to 5th in our heat, then finished 3rd in the b to secure the 22nd starting spot in the night's feature race. We ended up crossing the finish line 22nd when the 25-lap feature wrapped up.
Calvin wrapped up the final three nights of the Wild West Shootout at the Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park.
Friday night, after a 4th place finish in his heat race, he ran second in the b-main and then started and finished 20th in the night's feature race.
Saturday, he ran fifth in his heat and then missed the transfer spot from the b-main by just one spot, finishing fifth in that race as well, ending his night early.
Sunday saw Calvin win his qualifying heat race and race inside the top ten for the majority of the night's feature race, eventually crossing the finish line with a 14th place finish to cap off a solid weekend.
