Erb opens 2024 with a pair of Top-5's in Wild West Shootout at Vado

In his sixth season aboard the Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 entry, Tyler Erb invaded Vado Speedway Park (Vado, N.M.) on Saturday to kick off his 2024 campaign with the 18th annual Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout opener.

With a runner-up showing in his heat race positioning him on the third row for Saturday’s A-Main, Erb climbed two spots in the 40-lapper to finish fourth.

Improving on Saturday’s finish on Sunday, Tyler backed up a sixth-to-second display in his heat race with a third-place finish in the $11,000-to-win feature. He trailed Bobby Pierce and Mike Marlar across the line with Kyle Larson and Cade Dillard rounding out the Top-5.

With the first two events in the books, Tyler is third in the Wild West Shootout point standings.
