Holland begins 2024 with pair of Wild West Shootout A-Main appearances

Chase Holland’s season got underway on the first weekend in January as he and his Industrial Dock & Door No. 45 Modified team traveled west to compete in the opening events of the 18th annual Wild West Shootout at Vado (N.M) Speedway Park.

With 60 Modifieds in the pit area on Saturday, Holland grabbed a sixth-place result in his heat race on the 3/8-mile track, then finished third in his B-Main to transfer into the night’s 25-lap, $2,000-to-win feature. Holland finished 18th in the race after starting from the 22nd position.

The next night, 57 Modifieds were at the facility for another $2,000-to-win program. Holland took fourth in his heat and drove from sixth to fourth in his “B” to score the final transfer spot into the 25-lap A-Main. He started from the 24th position in the main event and advanced four spots to come home 20th in cold and windy weather conditions.

The Wild West Shootout continues on Wednesday, January 10.
