Robinson visits Eldora Speedway for 49th World 100

On Thursday afternoon Kent Robinson returned to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) kicking off the 49th annual World 100. With 98 DIRTcar Super Late Models on hand for a pair of preliminary features, Robinson improved two spots in his heat to pick up the 10-lap victory. With $10,000 on the line in the A-Main, Kent jumped up one spot in the 25-lapper scoring a runner-up finish behind Billy Moyer with Chris Ferguson, Jimmy Owens, and Dennis Erb Jr. rounding out the Top-5. 1For the second round of the World 100 on Friday night, Kent gained one spot in his heat logging a 7th place finish. Needing a 2nd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the final $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Robinson came one spot short with a 3rd place finish.

Wrapping up the World 100 on Saturday night, Robinson and the crew discovered damage to his engine but was able to get it repaired before the start of his heat. Sending the Top 3 into the $52,000-to-win main event, Kent was battling for a transfer spot until getting slammed into the wall by another competitor that brought an immediate end to his weekend.
