Coming off a top-10 finish in the 53rd World 100, Tyler Erb unloaded his Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 Late Model at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Tuesday for the eighth stop of the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries.
Drawing 31 Late Models, Erb had to resort to a provisional into the $23,023-to-win A-Main after losing ground in his heat. Climbing six positions in the 50-lap feature, Tyler posted a 16th-place outing.
Back in action on Thursday, Tyler and the team trekked to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) to kick off the Lucas Oil Knoxville Nationals with a pair or preliminaries. With a fifth-place finish in his heat placing him on the ninth row for the opener, Erb advanced forward 10 spots in the 25-lapper to register a seventh-place finish.
For Friday’s preliminary event, Erb followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a 12th-place showing in the feature.
With results from Thursday and Friday placing him on the eighth row for Saturday night’s $50,000-to-win Knoxville Nationals finale, Tyler improved five spots in the 75-lap affair to finish 11th.
