Kyle Reinhardt utilizes last corner pass to claim opening night of Jim & Joanne Ford Classic at Fremont

FREMONT, Ohio (September 15, 2023) - It was “Double-D” Danny Dietrich who perfected the last-corner pass at Fremont Speedway during Ohio Sprint Speedweek, but tonight, it was Neptune City, New Jersey’s Kyle Reinhardt who perfected the last-corner takeover, ultimately claiming night one of Fremont Speedway’s annual Jim & Joanne Ford Classic for a $6,000 score. Reinhardt, now a two-time All Star winner over the course of his career, earned his first-ever Fremont win over Parker Price-Miller, scooting around the Kokomo, Indiana, native through turns three and four before out drag racing “The Law Firm” by less than a second.

Reinhardt may have been on top at the end, but he was a threat the entire 30-lap distance, taking command the first time on lap 14, only to lose the lead to Price-Miller the following circuit. The two would swap positions yet again on lap 16, this time with Reinhardt back on top with a power move through turn four. The Garden State wheelman remained in control until lap 27 when Price-Miller used a slider through the final corner to reclaim the point. It was not until the final left hand turn when Reinhardt regained the top spot for good.

Parker Price-Miller raced home to finish second, followed by Tim Shaffer, Kerry Madsen, and Zeth Sabo.

“I knew we had a great car all night. Making some forward progress in the dash really put us in a great position. Parker [Price-Miller] is good here. We just tried to be patient when we got into traffic,” Reinhardt, driver of the Bryan Grove Racing No. 45, said. “Traffic was just as good as we were there for a while. I just put it all out there…got gutsy through one and two which kinda set us up for the last few corners. Luckily it all worked out.”
