Holland 6th at Brownstown Bullring during weekend in Illinois and Kentucky
Chase Holland took on yet another pair of challenging dirt tracks against stiff competition over the second weekend in September, scoring a top-10 result along the way.
On Friday, Holland and his Wehrs Machine & Racing Products No. 45 crew were among the 23 DIRTcar UMP Modified teams at Brownstown Bullring (Brownstown, Illinois). Holland won his heat from the pole on the quarter-mile track and started the 20-lap A-Main from the third spot. He came home with a sixth-place finish.
Next up, Holland and the team traveled to the Bluegrass State for a $5,000-to-win Modified program as part of the Sandy Adams Memorial at Rockcastle Speedway (Mount Vernon, Kentucky) on Saturday.
Holland began the evening by making wall contact during qualifying at the 3/8-mile track, then was unable to transfer through his heat race. He grabbed the last transfer spot in his B-Main and started the main event 20th in the 25-car field. He picked up four spots to come home 16th.
