Benji Hicks tackles busy Labor Day weekend with Hunt the Front and Carolina Clash
On Friday afternoon, Benji Hicks began his Labor Day weekend at Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway for the $10,000-to-win Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series show.
With 18 Late Models signed in, Benji smacked the outside wall in his hot lap session which ended his night early.
Changing plans last minute, Hicks traveled back closer to home to compete with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series at Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway. After a disappointing lap in qualifying, Benji completed 28 out of the 40 laps before pulling in early.
For Sunday's $7,500-to-win Hall of Fame Race at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.), Hicks once again recorded a DNF after pulling off at the halfway point of the 40-lap main event.
Benji Hicks and his Double-Nickel team now turn their attention to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the World 100.
