Stevens takes on Topless 100 weekend
Tyler Stevens traveled to Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) on Thursday to participate in the weekend's crown-jewel COMP Cams Topless 100 program co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and COMP Cams Super Dirt Series.
After taking part in Thursday’s hot laps, Stevens was one of 64 Late Model drivers in the pit area at the 3/8-mile track when the event kicked off on Friday. Stevens finished fourth in his heat race in his W&W Timber No. 2 car and started from the pole in his B-Main. However, he faded and finished 21st, precluding him from transferring to the evening’s 30-lap, $5,000-to-win prelim feature.
He was unable to compete the following evening and attempt to qualify for the 100-lap main event paying $50,000 to the victor.
