ASCS Sooner At Creek County Before National Showdown At Salina Highbanks

Bryan Hulbert - SAPULPA, Okla. (August 22, 2023) Two tracks, where the only thing they have in common is the direction of travel, that's what awaits the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley's Racing Products this weekend with Creek County Speedway on Friday, August 25, and Salina Highbanks Speedway on Saturday, August 26.
The season's second appearance, the quarter-mile, Creek County, the last visit on July 21 was the site of Sean McClelland's 22nd career ASCS Sooner Region score. Just like the July date, this Friday, August 25 is being promoted by ASCS Owner, Terry Mattox. The ASCS event is $2,000 to win, $300 to start.
Friday's event at Creek County Speedway, opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $ for adults, $5 for youth (11-14), and free for kids 10 and under. Pits are $35. Champ/305 Sprint Cars, $500 to win Mini Stocks, and Dwarf Cars are also on the card.
Creek County Speedway is located at 18450 West Hwy. 66 between Sapulpa and Kellyville. Taking on the National Tour of the American Sprint Car Series, Saturday, August 26, at the 22-degree banked, three-eights-mile, Salina Highbanks will feature at $4,000 to win, $400 to start A-Feature.
Saturday, August 26, at the Salina Highbanks Speedway, opens at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 6:30 P.M. and Racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for military and youth (6-12), and free for kids five and under. Pits are $40. Salina Highbanks Speedway is located 30 minutes east of Claremore, Okla., on Hwy. 20.
