Clayton Stuckey tackles Hell Tour week; eighth-place finish at Tri-State Speedway

Returning to the Hell Tour for another week of competition with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, Clayton Stuckey invaded Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) on Tuesday to kick off the "Mid State Week."

Nabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race, Stuckey started the $5,000-to-win feature from the fifth-row and finished just outside the Top-10 in 12th.

With Wednesday's event at Red Hill Raceway (Sumner, Ill.) rained out, Clayton turned his focus to Thursday's Herald and Review 100 at Macon Speedway (Macon, Ill.). With $7,500 on the line in the special 100-lap feature, Stuckey recorded a 15th-place finish.

Invading Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway on Friday evening, Stuckey got buried in qualifying and was unable to put himself into the evening's $10,000 A-Main.

Among 37 Late Models at Highland Speedway (Highland, Ill.) on Saturday, Clayton was able to earn a provisional starting spot in the feature. Moving through the field with another $10,000 check on the line, Stuckey came home 16th.

Wrapping up the third week of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, Ind.) on Sunday evening, Clayton finished fourth in his heat race which placed him on the sixth-row for the $5,000-to-win feature. Gaining four positions in the 40-lap feature, Stuckey recorded his first Top-10 of the week in eighth.

Clayton finished 10th in the "Mid State Week" point standings.
