Mitchell finishes 12th in CCSDS stop at Arrowhead
Jon Mitchell followed the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) to the Sooner State on Friday to take part in the Green Country 50 at Arrowhead Speedway (Colcord, Oklahoma). Thirty-two CCSDS Late Models filled the pit area of the 1/3-mile oval.
Mitchell finished fourth in his heat race aboard his Healthcare Express No. 5 ride and took the green flag for the 40-lap, $5,000-to-win main event in the 16th position. He climbed forward four spots to register a 12th-place result.
With the finish, the 2012 CCSDS champion maintains the seventh spot in the season standings.
The tour’s scheduled visit to Caney Valley Speedway (Caney, Kansas) on Saturday night fell to inclement weather.
