Terbo sixth in Elkhorn 100 prelim at Off Road Speedway
Testing the waters with the XR Super Series, Tyler Erb returned to the driver’s seat of his Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 Late Model on Monday for the two-day Elkhorn 100 at Off Road Speedway (Norfolk, Neb.).
With a pair of prelims on Monday leading up to Tuesday’s main event paying a six-figure payday, Erb rebounded in his heat with a fifth-to-third run after failing to make it out for hot laps. With $5,000 on the line in his preliminary feature, Tyler rolled to a sixth-place finish.
On Tuesday, Tyler secured his spot into the $100,000-to-win Elkhorn 100 with a runner-up finish in his B-Main. After getting turned around by another competitor on lap 15, Erb salvaged a 14th-place finish in the 100-lapper from the tail.
Joining the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series on Friday, Erb traveled to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the 33rd annual Prairie Dirt Classic weekend. Starting his 25-lap preliminary feature in sixth via his qualifying effort, Tyler steered to a sixth-place finish.
Relegated into a B-Main on Saturday, Tyler squeezed into the $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic finale with the second-and-final transfer spot. Rolling off 21st, Erb was an early retiree form the 100-lap affair on lap 61.
