Top-10 finish in Johnny Mulligan Classic at Ponderosa
Tye Twarog Racing and Nick Hoffman invaded Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) on Friday afternoon for the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series-sanctioned Johnny Mulligan Classic.
Drawing 32 Late Models for the third running of the annual event, Hoffman laid down the sixth-fastest time in his group before placing second in his heat. Earning the seventh-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Nick dropped three spots in the 50-lap affair to finish 10th.
Saturday's World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series stop at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) fell victim to wet weather.
Nick sits fourth in the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
