Ross Robinson
14th-place finish with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Davenport
Entering his Iron Source No. 7 Late Model with the XR Super Series, Ross Robinson visited Dubuque Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa) on Monday afternoon for the Dubuque Key City Clash.
Starting the $20,000-to-win opener in 12th via a third-place run in his heat, Ross was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 19.
With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Tuesday at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa), Robinson started the feature in 23rd via a provisional and went onto pass nine cars to finish 14th.
After Friday’s NAPA Know How 50 at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) fell to wet weather early in the event, the weekend concluded for Ross on Saturday with the 17th annual CMH Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.). Following a seventh-place finish in his heat, Robinson recorded a sixth-place finish in his consolation race, forcing him to use a provisional into the $15,000-to-win A-Main. Capping off the weekend by passing eight cars, Ross reeled in a 16th-place finish.
Ross remains 14th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
