Best Performance Motorsports 11th in CMH Diamond Nationals
Monday saw Tyler Erb return to the driver’s seat of the Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 Late Model for the XR Super Series-sanctioned Dubuque Key City Clash at Dubuque Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa).
With a fourth-place finish in his heat race pinning him on the eighth row for the $20,000-to-win A-Main, Erb ran as high as seventh before getting caught up in a tangle that ended his night on lap 18.
In a field of 40 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries on Tuesday at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa), Tyler’s fourth-to-second run in his heat secured his spot into the main event. Starting in fifth, Erb was an early retiree on lap 13 while running sixth.
After Friday’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned NAPA Know How 50 fell to wet weather, Tyler wrapped up his weekend on Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the 17th annual CMH Diamond Nationals. Starting the $15,000-to-win finale in eighth via a runner-up run in his heat race, Erb faded three spots in the 50-lap affair to finish 11th.
Erb, who remains ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings, was awarded $1,000 bonus money for qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Super Twelve.
