Benedum suffers motor issues in Earl Hill Memorial at Tyler County
After more than a month away from the racetrack, Mike Benedum returned to the seat of his Black Rock Enterprises No. 25 machine at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, W.Va.) on Saturday afternoon for the rescheduled Earl Hill Memorial.
With 32 Late Models on the property, Benedum earned a front-row starting position in the main event after winning his heat race. With $5,080 on the line for the A-Main, Benedum was cruising in the runner-up position behind eventual race-winner Tyler Carpenter when Mike felt a bad vibration and decided to save his equipment. After pulling in, he was scored 18th in the final rundown.
Full results from the event are available at www.TylerCountySpeedwayOnline.com.
