McCarter Brothers take on Volunteer and Tazewell Speedway
For the first time in 2023, both Mack McCarter and Pierce McCarter competed together at Volunteer Speedway for the rescheduled Sothern All Stars-sanctioned Bulls Gap Bash 40.
With lineups already set from Mack's previous qualifying times, McCarter was running in the Top-3 when mechanical issues forced him to pull in early.
Pierce competed in the Crate Late Model portion of the event and ran runner-up to Ricky Weiss in his season debut.
Switching gears to Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) on Monday afternoon, Mack qualified ninth-quickest before finishing third in his heat race. Rolling off ninth in the $21,000-to-win Lil' Bill Corum Memorial, McCarter gained three positions to finish in sixth.
