Ross Robinson rockets onto podium at Muskingum County Speedway
Making the switch to Rocket Chassis, Ross Robinson unloaded his DutchStar Motorsports No. 7 Late Model at Muskingum County Speedway (Zanesville, OH) on Friday for the 17th running of the Freedom 60.
With 32 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competitors on the grounds for the two-day event, Robinson’s qualifying effort placed him on the fourth row for his $3,000-to-win preliminary feature. Wheeling his way onto the podium, Ross marched forward five spots in the 20-lap affair to register a third-place finish. He trailed Hudson O’Neal and Devin Moran to the checkers with Matt Cosner and Garrett Alberson rounding out the top-five.
Locked into the eighth-starting position for Saturday night’s $30,000-to-win Freedom 60, Ross faded to finish 17th in the 60-lap finale.
Ross sits in 15th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
