Clem grabs seventh-place finish with Hell Tour at Moberly

For the second week on tour with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, Tyler Clem and the Big Frog Motorsports team invaded Moberly Motorsports Park (Moberly, Mo.) on Tuesday evening for the sixth round of the Hell Tour.

With a third-place finish in his heat race placing him on the sixth row for the opener, Tyler raced to his second top-10 of the tour as he charged forward five spots to finish seventh.

On Wednesday afternoon at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa), Clem’s seventh-to-second run in his heat locked his spot into the main event. Fading outside the top-10 in his first start at the Iowa oval, Tyler recorded a 12th-place outing.

After Thursday’s Hell Tour stop at Spoon River Speedway (Banner, Ill.) was cancelled by faulty track equipment, Tyler missed a transfer spot in both his heat and B-Main in Friday’s program at Brownstown Bullring (Brownstown, Ill.).

For another $10,000-to-win Hell Tour event on Saturday at Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Mo.), Clem followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a consolation victory. Moving forward five spots in the 40-lap feature, Tyler reeled in a 12th-place finish.

Clem wrapped up the weekend on Sunday at Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Ill.) by placing third in his heat before crossing the line in 11th in the feature.

Tyler finished eighth in week two DIRTcar Summer Nationals point standings.
