Gregg Satterlee advances to fourth-place finish in Firecracker 100
Gregg Satterlee entered his Satterlee Motorsports No. 22 Late Model into battle with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Thursday afternoon at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) for the 17th running of the Firecracker 100 weekend.
With the 49-car field split into two groups for a pair of prelims, Satterlee’s seventh-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the 10th row for his feature which was postponed by wet weather to Friday afternoon.
Nearly cracking into the top-10, Gregg gained eight spots in the 25-lapper to register an 11th-place finish.
Later Friday night, Satterlee followed up the fifth-fastest qualifying lap in his group with a second-place finish in his heat. Chasing a $5,000 payday in his preliminary feature, Gregg jumped up one spot to finish fourth.
On Saturday afternoon, Gregg raced his way into the $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 finale with a runner-up run in his heat race. Rolling off 12th, Satterlee passed eight cars in the 100-lap affair, reeling in a fourth-place finish. He trailed Ricky Thornton Jr., Hudson O’Neal, and Jonathan Davenport to the checkers with Devin Moran coming in fifth.
