Levi Crowl wins at Hagerstown Speedway

Two weeks ago, Levi Crowl earned the pole for the 19-car Late Model Sportsman A-Main during the 76th Anniversary Special at Hagerstown (Maryland) Speedway. However, rain postponed the feature until Saturday evening.

The delay was worth the wait as Crowl put his W&W Motorsports No. 5 in Victory Lane.

Crowl, a native of Clear Spring, Maryland, led the 22-lap race from green to checkered on the half-mile, high-banked red clay oval, taking his first victory in the division by 0.774 seconds over Devin Hart. Cody Lear, Keith Koontz and Cody Kershner completed the top five of the 17 drivers that made the call for the makeup event.

The Saturday festivities at Hagerstown also featured the scheduled Dad’s Night Out program, which attracted an impressive 33 Late Model Sportsman competitors.

Crowl won his heat race and started the 20-lap A-Main from the fourth spot. He picked up one position to finish third behind Barry Miller and Kenny Yoder. Devin Hart and Matt Parts finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Crowl currently is second in the track point standings, 193 markers behind leader Hart.
