Hall of Fame 40 for Iron-Man Racing Series Late Models and Modifieds Races to Lake Cumberland Speedway Saturday June 17

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (June 14, 2023) – The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern and Southern Series will be at the “House of Hardcore Mayhem” Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY on Saturday June 17 for the 4th Annual Hall of Fame 40, paying $7,500 to win and $500 to start. The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Southern Series will also be in action in a $1,500 to win and $150 to start main event.

The Class of 2023 for the Lake Cumberland Speedway Hall of Fame will also be recognized at the event and the following will be inducted into the Lake Cumberland Speedway Hall of Fame: Drivers- Tommy Hargis, Tim Taylor, Carlos Morrow, Doug Smith, Danny Sumpter; Contributors- Jimmy Cundiff, Estill Baker, Chubby Baird.

The 4th Annual Hall of Fame 40 will take place at Lake Cumberland Speedway on Saturday June 17 and will feature the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern/Southern Series in a full program of Denby’s J&J Construction Hot Laps, E-Z-GO Time Trials, Heats, Impact Race Gear B-Mains, and the 40 lap, $7,500 to win/$500 to start 4th Annual Hall of Fame 40 Valvoline A-Main contest. The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Southern Series will also be in action in a full program of E-Z-GO Hot Lap/Time Trials, Last Chance Heats, and the 20 lap, $1,500 to win/$150 to start Brucebilt Performance Parts A-Main event. The American All Star Crate Late Model Series will also be in competition, racing for $3,000 to win for Crate Late Models. Other divisions in action at Lake Cumberland Speedway on Saturday June 17 will be the track’s Super Stocks, Hobby Stocks and Front Wheel Drive Mini-Stocks.

Activities at Lake Cumberland Speedway for the 4th Annual Hall of Fame 40 on Saturday June 17 will see the pit area and general admission area at 2:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:45 p.m., with practice laps and time trials to get underway at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices at Lake Cumberland Speedway on Saturday June 17 in the general admission area will be $30 (children ages 10 and under are free), while a pit pass will be $45.

The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern and Southern Series will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event and the tire rule will be as follows: Fronts: Open; Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2 (LM20) and NLMT 3 (LM30); Right Rear: Hoosier NLMT 3 (LM30) and Hoosier NLMT 4 (LM40) (there is no limit on the number of tires used; the droop rule will be in effect, along with the standardized body rules of WoO/Lucas). The entry fee will be $100 per event and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track at the series trailer. Any driver not making the 22-car starting field will receive $50 tow money.

The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Southern Series will sanction the Open Wheel Modified portion of the program and the tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier M30s, M60, Medium, Hard; American Racer Hard and Extra Hard (only Hoosier M60, Hard, and American Racer Extra Hard are allowed as right-rear tire options; grooving and siping of tires are allowed per UMP rulebook; UMP 2023 body rules apply; no limit of tires used per night). The entry fee will be $40 and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track at the series trailer. Any driver not making the 22-car starting field will receive $30 tow money.
