Roth competes in Show-Me 100 weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway
Getting an early start to his Memorial Day weekend, Jeff Roth invaded Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Thursday afternoon to pilot his Kimbel Services No. 14R Late Model for the 31st annual Show-Me 100 weekend.
With 59 Late Models on the grounds for the event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA), Roth followed up a 10th-place showing in his heat with a 12th-place outing in his B-Main, ending his night early.
For another $6,000 prelim on Friday, Jeff gained one spot in his heat to finish seventh, relegating him into a consolation race. Sending the top-two into the Don and Billie Gibson Tribute feature, Roth passed two cars to place fifth.
Pinned on the fifth row of his B-Main on Saturday for one final shot at the $50,000-to-win Show-Me 100, Roth failed to qualify for the main event with a 12th-place finish. He earned a spot into the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge where he put on an impressive charged from 23rd-to-13th, ending his weekend on a high note.
