Mason Oberkramer

Oberkramer a part of Show-Me 100 weekend action

Broseley, Missouri’s Mason Oberkarmer took part in one of his home state’s crown-jewel events over the weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri). He did so against a stout field of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) competitors.

On Thursday, his Oberkramer Trucking No. 93 Dirt Late Model was among 59 in the pit area at the 3/8-mile oval when the Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 weekend kicked off with the 45-lap, $6,000-to-win Cowboy Classic.

Oberkramer turned in an eighth-place finish in his heat and a seventh-place effort in his B-Main, meaning he was unable to transfer to the main event.

The following night, 57 cars looked to take part in the 40-lap Tribute to Don & Billie Gibson paying $6,000 to the winner. Oberkramer was sixth in his heat and fourth in his B-Main, missing a transfer spot by just two positions.

Sixty cars packed the pit area for Saturday night’s 100-lap finale with $50,000 on the line. Oberkramer finished sixth in his B-Main, one of three B-Mains that were used to fill out the field for the 31st annual Show-Me 100.

But despite not transferring through the “B,” Oberkramer had one more chance to make the main event or take home $2,500 as the winner of the 20-lap Show-Me Challenge. He turned in a strong third-place finish, coming up just two spots shy of advancing.

Oberkramer is now in the 11th position in the 2023 MLRA standings.
